Тема урока: День Святого Валентина (1)

Цель: Формирование коммуникативной компетенции учащихся в рамках заданной темы и усвоение новых грамматических единиц.

Задачи:

Образовательные — активизировать лексический материал, создать условия для использования его в новых сочетаниях в рамках предложенной темы, а также для усвоения фактических данных по теме, усвоить грамматический материал.

Развивающие — создать условия для развития аналитических способностей учащихся: умения анализировать, сопоставлять, обобщать, делать выводы, аргументировать свою точку зрения. Способствовать развитию речи, мышления, эмоций.

Воспитательные — способствовать развитию эстетического вкуса, культуры взаимоотношений при работе в парах, группах.

Методы: коммуникативный, наглядный.

Формы работы: индивидуальная, групповая.

Цель этапа: введение в атмосферу иноязычного общения.

Good morning! I’m very glad to see you today. As you remember, we have almost finished one interesting topic “Belarus and Britain round the calendar”. We have already got acquainted with the large number of different holidays which are celebrated in this 2 countries. Before we find out what holiday we are going to discuss today let’s see how do you remember our previous lessons.

Perfect! You remember almost all holidays and special days. Now I want you to guess our today’s topic. Listen to me and name the holiday: “It is celebrated in February. On this day people send cards to their lovers, parents, friends. It is the best day to say, “I love you”. So, what is the holiday?

You are right! It is St. Valentine’s Day. However, do you know the history of this special day? Today we will get acquainted with it.
